The power of peer-to-peer learning and sharing was never more evident in the Gratiot Isabella RESD region than on September 30, 2013. A region wide professional learning day took place after a number of years on hiatus. Area educators were enthralled with the keynote speaker, Kevin Honeycutt. Kevin’s message focused educators on the importance of building relationships with students paired with high expectations. He emphasized the power of words and actions that educators have in each student’s experiences and memories. One only needs to think back on the teachers and educators that made a difference in their own life to know the immeasurable impact that we have on students.
