First round of Marshal Plan for Talent grants help more than 150,000 students and their communities across Michigan.

Nine talent consortia, representing 260 entities, were awarded a total of nearly $15 million in grants to start and grow innovative education models.  This solidifies Michigan recent historic investment in its education and talent revolution. Leaders explained how this investment is just the beginning in helping transform Michigan's ever-changing education model.  The Central Michigan Talent Consortium grant proposal was funded ($1,361,611) in all three grant applications and targeted career pathways for Manufacturing/Professional Trades and Healthcare as the industries with the highest wage and highest demand in the region.  The Consortium will focus on creating a workplace citizenship curriculum, developing a career navigation system with career pathway planning, promotion and awareness.
